Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information PillsCircle collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. PillsCircle is a medication reminder and logging tool — not a medical device. We do not use your information to make medical decisions.

Information we collect

• Caregiver account: your email address and the authentication provider you sign in with (Google or email).
• Elder profile: the name, phone number, and time zone of the person you set up reminders for.
• Medications & schedules: medication names and the dose schedules you configure.
• Dose confirmation logs: when a reminder is sent and when a dose is marked as taken.
• Billing identifiers: a Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We never see or store full card numbers — payments are handled entirely by Stripe.
• Basic analytics & telemetry: product usage events and error reports used to keep the service working.

How we use your information

• To send medication reminders to the elder you have linked.
• To show adherence and dose history to linked caregivers.
• To process subscriptions and provide customer support.
• To diagnose errors and improve the product.

We do not use your information to provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and we do not make medical decisions on your behalf.

Text message (SMS) program

PillsCircle sends medication reminder text messages to an elder, and missed-dose alert texts to caregivers, only after explicit opt-in. When a caregiver adds a phone number in the app, they confirm a consent checkbox stating the number's owner agreed to receive these texts. Messages are transactional and sent according to the dose schedule you configure.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency depends on the dose schedule. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, which stops all further texts to that number; reply HELP for help. We never share or sell phone numbers, and SMS opt-in consent is never shared with third parties for their marketing.

Service providers (sub-processors)

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate PillsCircle. Each processes only the data needed for its function:

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Twilio — SMS (and, later, WhatsApp) reminder delivery.
• Sentry — error monitoring.
• PostHog — product analytics.
• Meta — advertising measurement (currently dormant).

Health-adjacent data

Medication and dose information is sensitive, and we treat it accordingly. Error and diagnostic reports are scrubbed of personal identifiers such as email addresses and IP addresses before they leave our systems. We never sell your personal data.

Children

PillsCircle is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your choices and rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@pillscircle.com. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of PillsCircle after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
